About Me

I lay out my intention for this blog: to share my experiences with others. Of course, I hope to grow my business and direct my clients to the blog for their personal growth as well. But my intention is to show that one can be mindful without having to go to extremes. Balance is key, and I have learned that valuable lesson time and again.

About me: First, I am a mother. Secondary, but very important: entrepreneur, fitness professional, business woman, writer, public speaker. I live in the DC metropolitan area and have created a fulfilling life for my children and myself.

My career path has been interesting and varied. I have worked in research & management for a telecoms association, managed health clubs, consulted on housing market development in third world nations, and finally, have become self-employed in corporate wellness with a few side gigs (speaking engagements, trying to land a regular column and teach college business courses)

I’m your cousin, Keith Robertson. I haven’t talked to you in years, but I stumbled across your website. It’s quite interesting. I wanted to let you know I’m still alive; and from what I’m reading here, it sounds like you really enjoy helping others. Reminds me of what Churchill said: “You make a Living by what you get; you make a Life by what you give.”

    • Hi Keith!!! Wow, it has been forever and a day since we saw eachother or spoke… So great to hear from you! How did you stumble across my blog? However you did, I’m thrilled to hear from you and excited to be in touch. It seems the family is so spread out now that it’s hard to keep track of everyone. I hope that life is good for you and you’re enjoying yourself in (North Dakota, right???)

Thank you for the Churchill quote – exactly what I needed to hear today. Have a great day!
